Terms Of Service

1. Introduction
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Evomone® mobile wallet (“Service”). By using Evomone®, you agree to these Terms.
2. Regulatory Compliance (UK)
Evomone is a non-custodial Bitcoin and Lightning wallet. Evomone does not provide financial advice or promote the purchase of Bitcoin; this is entirely at the discretion of the user. Bitcoin-related services such as fiat on/off-ramps are provided by third-party partners like MoonPay, who are solely responsible for regulatory compliance, including any requirements under the UK Financial Promotions Regime. Evomone does not store, manage, or exchange user funds and is not responsible for any decisions made by users to engage with third-party services.
3. Wallet, On/Off-Ramp & Fees
3.1 Transactions processed
The Breez SDK may incur base network and service fees (typically 0.1%–0.25% plus miner fees). These are charged by the underlying network/service and are not controlled by EvoMone. In addition, Evomone charges a 0.5% service fee per transaction.
3.2 Network Disclaimer
EvoMone uses the open-source Breez SDK (via Nodeless) to enable Lightning Network payments. This SDK may include fallback routing mechanisms (e.g., via Liquid) depending on payment conditions, wallet state, and network availability. Evomone does not store, manage, or retain custody of user funds at any point.
4. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for managing your private keys and recovery phrase.
You must comply with local laws applicable to your use of Evomone and with MoonPay’s policies when using fiat features.
Evomone cannot recover lost wallets or private keys.
If you choose to enable cloud backup, your recovery phrase is encrypted locally on your device (AES-256, with keys stored in iOS Keychain/Android Keystore) before being backed up to iCloud/Google Drive. While encrypted, no cloud service can be considered entirely risk-free. Cloud backup is recommended only for testing or small amounts. You remain responsible for securing your 12-word recovery phrase.
5. Prohibited Activities
Users may not:
- Use Evomone for illegal activity, including fraud or money laundering.
- Interfere with or reverse-engineer any part of the app or third-party integrations.
6. Third-Party Services & Disclaimers
MoonPay:
- Evomone integrates with MoonPay, a third-party provider, for fiat transactions.
- Evomone is not liable for any delays, verification issues, or transaction failures involving MoonPay.
- All disputes related to fiat transactions should be directed to moonPay.
- Users must accept MoonPay's separate terms before accessing their services.
No Financial Advice:
- Evomone does not provide financial, investment, or trading advice.
- Use of the app is entirely at your own risk. Cryptocurrency markets are volatile and unregulated in many jurisdictions.
Evomone does not promote, recommend, or provide financial advice on third-party services. Any interaction with providers such as MoonPay is entirely at your discretion.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Evomone’s total aggregate liability for any claims arising out of or related to the use of the Service shall be limited to £100 per calendar year. This limitation applies whether the claim arises from contract, negligence, or any other legal theory. This clause is designed to protect our ability to continue operating sustainably while offering an accessible service.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
9. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.

11. Messaging & User Content
Evomone includes end-to-end encrypted messaging using the Signal Protocol. Messages are routed through our secure relay servers, not via the Lightning Network. We do not store or access message content. Users are fully responsible for any messages or media they send. Abuse (spam, harassment, illegal content) may result in suspension or termination of access to messaging features.
12. Lightning Network Disclaimer
Evomone uses the open-source Breez SDK to enable Lightning Network transactions. As Lightning is a decentralised protocol, Evomone is not responsible for routing failures, liquidity issues, or failures caused by third-party Lightning nodes.
13. Brand and Intellectual Property
The Evomone® name, logo, and slogan (“We Are the Currency”) are proprietary assets of EvoMone Ltd. Evomone is now formally registered trademark, these elements are protected under applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or reuse Evomone® branding, app content, or visual assets without prior written permission.
14. Data Privacy and Messaging IDs
Your Evomone messaging account is linked to a hashed phone number and secure identifier. Messages are not stored by Evomone. You may optionally allow contact discovery, which is performed locally on your device and never uploaded. For more on how we handle data, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
15. Age Eligibility
Evomone is open to users of all ages, but fiat services provided by MoonPay are restricted to users aged 18 and above. Evomone does not verify user age directly but cannot enable access to third-party services for underage users.
16. Dispute Resolution
In the event of any dispute arising from the use of Evomone, you agree to first attempt resolution through informal negotiation. If unresolved, the dispute will be governed by the courts of England and Wales.
