Introduction
At EvoMone® Ltd ("we", "our", or "us"), your privacy and sovereignty are not just a legal requirement — they are a founding principle. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use the EvoMone® mobile app ("App") and our website.
EvoMone® does not collect or store personal or financial information beyond what is described in this policy. We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not profile you.
What We Collect and Why
We do not collect or access the following under any circumstances:
- Your crypto wallet private keys
- Your Bitcoin or Lightning Network funds
- Your message content
The limited data we do process is set out below:

Phone Number Handling
When you register or log in to EvoMone®, your phone number is used for one purpose only — to send you a one-time verification code via Twilio, our SMS provider.
Your phone number is never stored in our database. Immediately after verification, it is converted into a one-way cryptographic hash — a process that cannot be reversed. Even EvoMone® cannot retrieve your original phone number from what is stored.
Twilio receives your phone number temporarily and solely for the purpose of delivering the verification code. Once sent, Twilio's own privacy policy governs any temporary handling on their end.
Account Deletion
Deleting the app from your device does not delete your account. Your data remains on our servers until you explicitly use the Delete Account option within the app. Once deleted, all associated data is permanently and irreversibly removed from our systems.
Messaging & Encryption
EvoMone® includes encrypted messaging. Messages are encrypted in transit and stored securely on our servers. Full end-to-end encryption is planned for a future update.
- Message metadata is minimised and not retained beyond what is necessary.
- Your messaging account is linked to a hashed phone number and a secure identifier, not to your identity.
Your contact relationships within EvoMone® are stored on our secure servers solely to enable messaging and contact management features. We do not share your contact information with third parties.
Data Storage & Retention
All sensitive data — including your private keys and recovery phrase — is stored locally on your device. EvoMone® does not upload or retain this data on our servers.
Cloud Backup
If you choose to enable cloud backup, your recovery phrase is encrypted locally on your device using AES-256, with keys stored in iOS Keychain or Android Keystore, before being backed up to iCloud or Google Drive.
Important: While encrypted, no cloud service can be considered entirely risk-free. Cloud backup is recommended only for testing or small amounts. You remain solely responsible for securing your 12-word recovery phrase.
Retention Period
The hashed phone number and account identifier are retained for the duration of your account. When you delete your account using the in-app Delete Account option, all associated data is permanently removed from our systems immediately.
Third-Party Providers
Twilio
We use Twilio to deliver SMS verification codes. Phone numbers are passed to Twilio temporarily for delivery only and are never stored by EvoMone®. Twilio's privacy policy governs their handling of this data.
MoonPay
MoonPay provides fiat on/off-ramp services within EvoMone®. MoonPay is an independent regulated payment provider and is solely responsible for its own AML and KYC compliance. Your data shared with MoonPay during the buy or sell process is handled under MoonPay's privacy policy.
EvoMone® provides non-custodial wallet functionality only and is not responsible for MoonPay's data practices.
Apple and Google (Push Notifications)
Push notifications may be delivered via Apple Push Notification Service or Google Firebase Cloud Messaging. Notifications are optional and fully user-controlled within app settings.
Chatbase
Our website may use a Chatbase AI assistant. Interactions with the chat assistant may be logged by Chatbase under their privacy policy.
Analytics
EvoMone® uses Firebase Analytics in anonymous mode to understand basic app performance. This includes anonymised and aggregated metrics such as app installs, country distribution, version usage, and engagement with core features.
No wallet addresses, private keys, message content, contacts, or financial information are ever shared with analytics tools. All data collected is anonymised and aggregated — it cannot be used to identify you as an individual.
Firebase Analytics operates in accordance with Apple's AppTrackingTransparency (ATT) framework on iOS, and with GDPR and other applicable privacy standards. On iOS, analytics only begins after user consent via the ATT prompt.
For web analytics, we may use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-first tool that does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. An opt-out option is available on site visit.
Lightning Network & Metadata
Payment records including transaction IDs, amounts, fees, and status are stored on EvoMone®’s secure servers to provide you with payment history within the app. This is your transaction record and is available to you at any time inside EvoMone®.
No wallet private keys or recovery phrases are ever stored. Payment records are permanently and irreversibly deleted when you delete your account using the in-app Delete Account option.
Cookies & Tracking
Our website uses cookies for essential operations and anonymous analytics only. No tracking cookies or advertising cookies are used.
On your first visit, you will be given the option to accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can change your preferences at any time through your browser settings.
Use by Minors
The EvoMone® wallet app is available to download for users of all ages. Because EvoMone® does not collect or store personal identity data, we do not knowingly hold personal data relating to minors.
Fiat on/off-ramp services provided by MoonPay are restricted to users aged 18 and above in most jurisdictions. EvoMone® does not verify user age directly, but cannot enable access to MoonPay's services for users who do not meet MoonPay's eligibility requirements.
Your Data Rights (UK GDPR)
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or port any personal data we hold about you. Because EvoMone® collects very limited personal data by design, many of these rights may have limited application in practice.

US Privacy Compliance (CCPA)
If you reside in California or another US jurisdiction with similar privacy laws, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data.
EvoMone® does not sell or share personal information. Analytics tools collect only anonymised, non-identifiable data in compliance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and other applicable US privacy laws.

Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our practices evolve or as required by law. We will notify users of material changes via the app or by email where reasonably practicable. Continued use of EvoMone® after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
